Apple and sausage salad with Calvados

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 onions
  • 3 apples
  • 250 g meat sausage or Lyoner
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 ½ tbsp Calvados
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 pinch(s) of salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • ½ head of lettuce
  • 1 bunch of chives

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the onions and slice into thin rings. Wash and core the apples, then cut them into thin slices with the skin on. Cut the pork sausage or Lyoner into thin strips. Mix everything in a salad bowl. For the dressing, combine the vinegar, Calvados, and oil. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Pour over the sausage salad, toss to coat, and let stand for half an hour. Line a bowl with washed lettuce leaves and arrange the apple and sausage salad on top. Wash the chives, cut them into small rings, and scatter them over the top. Serve with white bread and wine.
