  • 500 g shrimp(s)
  • 4 tbsp corn flour
  • 1 egg(s)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • Oil, hot, for frying
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce, e.g. sriracha sauce
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • ¼ tsp paprika powder
  • 1 garlic clove(s), crushed
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • ¼ tsp sesame oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

crispy shrimp in spicy, creamy sauce

Wash the shrimp, devein if necessary, and pat dry. Make a batter from cornflour, egg, salt, and pepper, coat the shrimp in it, and fry in hot oil until golden brown. Remove the shrimp and drain on kitchen paper. Mix the sauce ingredients well. Mix the hot shrimp with the sauce and serve. Tips: You can also buy pre-breaded, frozen shrimp; then you don’t have to bread them yourself. The spiciness can of course be adjusted to your liking; if you like it a bit spicier, you can add more sriracha. If you don’t like shrimp, you can also use chicken. Cut the chicken into small, bite-sized pieces.
