Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 12 Maultaschen
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 handful of fried onions
  • some oil
  • 1 bunch of chives, finely chopped
  • some salt and pepper from the mill
  • some paprika powder, sweet

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cut the Maultaschen into 1 cm thick strips and then fry them in a little oil until golden brown. Stir in the fried onions and crack the eggs over the top. Season to taste and remove from the heat before the eggs set (we like them best when the eggs are still runny). Garnish with chives to serve. Serve with jarred beets or any salad.
