Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 5 Maultasche(n), frozen
  • 1 liter vegetable broth
  • ½ bunch of spring onions
  • 2 slices of cooked ham
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 ml cream
  • salt and pepper
  • Nutmeg, freshly grated
  • e.g. chopped parsley

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

quick everyday cooking

Bring the vegetable stock to a boil. Add the frozen Maultaschen. Turn off the heat and let the Maultaschen cook until tender. Remove from the heat and let them cool slightly, then cut into not-too-thin strips. Cut the spring onions into rings and the cooked ham into cubes. Heat the oil in a large non-stick pan and fry the Maultaschen until golden brown, remove from the heat and set aside. Then briefly fry the onion rings and the diced ham. Add the Maultaschen back in. Whisk the eggs with the cream and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Pour over the Maultaschen and let them set briefly. Serve sprinkled with parsley.
