Meatballs filled with plums and feta

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 handful of parsley
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • 1 handful of prunes
  • 100 g feta cheese
  • some oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

for grill or pan

Crumble or dice the cheese and chop the prunes. Finely dice the onion, sauté in a little oil, and let cool. Pull the parsley off the stalks and chop. Place the ground beef in a bowl, press in the garlic, and add all the other ingredients. Knead everything well. Season to taste, but keep in mind that the feta cheese releases salt. To grill, divide the ground beef into about 10 portions. Flatten each portion in the palm of your hand, about 0.5 cm thick, top with some feta and prunes, press the meat mixture over it, and form flat patties or rolls. For pan-frying, you can form smaller meatballs, fry them in oil, and serve as a main course in a fruity tomato sauce, for example, with pasta. Once cooled, serve as appetizers for a buffet.
