Macaroni and minced meat casserole with tomatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta (macaroni)
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 400 g cocktail tomatoes
  • 150 g cheese, grated
  • 1 cup crème fraîche
  • ¾ liter of water
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • lots of salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Garlic, fresh or powder
  • some oil or fat for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Brown the ground meat and season generously with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic, if desired. Pour in the water and stir in the tomato paste. Bring to a boil briefly. In the meantime, place the raw macaroni in a casserole dish, halve the tomatoes (dice large tomatoes), and spread them over the pasta. Pour the meat sauce over the pasta and spread the crème fraîche over it. Sprinkle with cheese and bake in the oven at 170°C (fan oven) for about 30 minutes. Serve with a mixed salad. A quick tip: The crème fraîche spreads more easily if you briefly heat the container (without the lid) in the microwave on low power.
