Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 360 g pumpkin flesh (Hokkaido), pureed
- 440 g applesauce, homemade, without sugar
- 420 g gelling sugar, 2:1
- 2 cardamom pods, green
- 1 tsp gingerbread spice
- ½ tsp cinnamon powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 6 cloves
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Bring the pumpkin puree and applesauce to a boil with the spices and preserving sugar, then bring to a rolling boil according to the package instructions. Test for settling. Place a teaspoonful of jam on a plate and let it cool. Once it has set well, fill the jars. This amount is enough for two jars (250 g each) and two (225 g each). This jam has a wonderfully Christmassy flavor and makes a great gift for Advent coffee.
