Crispy kohlrabi slices

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 3 kohlrabi
  • 1 liter of water
  • 1 tsp vegetable broth, instant
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp flour (whole wheat flour)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs (whole grain)
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 4 tbsp margarine

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel the kohlrabi, cut into finger-thick slices, and cook in the hot broth for about 10 minutes. Remove the slices and drain in a sieve. Coat the slices first in the wheat flour, then in the beaten egg, and finally in the whole-wheat breadcrumbs with sesame seeds. Heat the fat in a pan and fry the kohlrabi slices until golden brown on both sides. Serve with mashed potatoes.
