Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter, soft
  • 250 g sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 150 g milk chocolate, melted
  • 100 g cornstarch, sieved
  • 200 g flour
  • 2 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 1 packet of pudding powder (vanilla), 500 ml milk
  • 4 cups whipped cream
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 bottle of liqueur (Irish coffee mix)
  • some chocolate shavings
  • cream, whipped

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

A delicious cake baked in layers, with a light coffee flavor, cake with a diameter of 26 cm

Make a pudding from the milk, 2 tablespoons of sugar (from the 250g) and the pudding powder, cover with cling film, and let cool. Melt the chocolate and let it cool, but do not allow it to set any further. Beat the butter until creamy, then gradually add the sugar and chocolate, alternating with the eggs. Mix the flour with the baking powder and cornstarch and sift. Stir into the foam mixture. Bake about 5-6 cake layers from this batter and let cool. Do not stack them on top of each other, as they will stick together. Baking time: 190°C for about 8-10 minutes (I always bake by eye, as every oven is different). For the filling, mix the now-cold pudding with a mixer. Whip the cream and add the vanilla sugar. Stir the Irish coffee mix into the pudding, then immediately fold in the cream. Fill each layer evenly with this mixture. Spread the remaining cream over the entire cake. Then garnish with dollops of whipped cream and chocolate shavings. This cake tastes best after two days. I pack it in a cake container and refrigerate it.
