Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g quark
  • 250 g flour
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 4 apples
  • Fat for frying

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy. Add the quark and mix well. Sift the flour and baking powder and stir in. Stir in the chopped apples. Finally, fold in the egg whites. Heat the oil to 175°C (350°F) and fry the balls. This recipe yields approximately 36 small apple quark balls. Tip: The balls are easy to shape using an ice cream scoop.
