vegetarian, spicy and delicious

Wash, trim, and dice all vegetables or cut into bite-sized pieces. Cook in the vegetable broth. The cooking time depends on the desired tenderness. I cook the vegetables for about 20 minutes, adding them one at a time, starting with the potatoes, then the carrots, kohlrabi, and only a little later the cabbage. Shortly before the end of the cooking time, add the ginger, chilies, garlic, lemon juice, soy sauce, and sugar. Season to taste and add peppercorn sauce if desired.
