Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g white fish, e.g. cod
  • 1 large zucchini
  • 1 large bell pepper(s), red
  • 1 small piece(s) of ginger
  • 2 spring onions
  • some olive oil
  • 8 tbsp soy sauce
  • some pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Steamed fish with vegetables

Divide the fish into four equal pieces. Dice the zucchini and bell peppers. Slice the spring onions into rings. Divide the ginger (about 2-3 dice) into four equal pieces. Prepare four sheets of aluminum foil or baking paper measuring approximately 30 x 30 cm. Fill each with the fish, the raw vegetables, spring onions, and ginger. Sprinkle each with one tablespoon of olive oil, two tablespoons of soy sauce, and a pinch of pepper. Tie the parcels together and place them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). If using fresh fish, 20 minutes should be sufficient. For frozen fish, increase the baking time to about 30 minutes. Additional salt is not necessary due to the soy sauce. A wonderfully aromatic sauce will form inside the parcels, which goes perfectly with rice!
