Asian-inspired honey mustard salmon

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 5 g ginger
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • sesame
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Rinse the salmon and pat dry. Peel the ginger, chop it very finely, and mix it with the oil, soy sauce, honey, and mustard to make a marinade. Season with salt and pepper. Let the salmon marinate in the refrigerator for about 1 hour. Add the salmon and all of the marinade to the pan and cook on both sides. During this step, the marinade begins to caramelize, coating the salmon and thickening the marinade. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the salmon and serve. Since we love bell peppers, we sometimes add sliced bell peppers to the pan for a caramelized vegetable side dish.
