Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g minced pork or mixed
  • 3 spring onions
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce, light
  • 1 cl rice wine or sherry
  • 4 tsp hoisin sauce or hoisin paste
  • ¼ tsp five-spice powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 150 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash the spring onions and slice thinly. Heat the rapeseed oil in a pan over medium heat and sear the minced meat. When it’s nicely browned, deglaze with the rice wine and soy sauce. Reduce the heat to medium and add the spring onions. Fry everything for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. When the spring onions begin to become translucent, add the water. Add the hoisin sauce, five-spice powder, and cayenne pepper and stir well. When the sauce begins to thicken, remove the pan from the heat, add the sesame oil, and stir. Serve and eat immediately over hot jasmine rice.
