Bake Easter Bread Yourself – That’s How It Works

Bake Easter bread yourself – you need these ingredients

So that you can easily bake the recipe yourself, you need the following ingredients and materials:

  • 8 tablespoons oil and 8 tablespoons milk
  • 200g low-fat quark
  • 100g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 400g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional raisins
  • A large bowl for mixing
  • hair strainer
  • Small bowl
  • baking sheet and oven

Bake Easter bread – it works with these instructions

  1. First, put the oil and milk in the bowl and add the low-fat quark to the mixture. Then stir until the mixture is smooth.
  2. Then you have to add the sugar and beat it in an egg. You will need the other egg later.
  3. Now you need to put the flour in the hair strainer to add it to the curd in portions. Then knead the dough until it is nice and smooth. Then add the baking powder and a pinch of salt and knead the dough again.
  4. You now need to divide the lump into three equal parts. Form the lumps into three strands of equal length, which you then braid into a braid.
  5. Place the Easter loaves with sufficient spacing on the baking sheet. This should have been lined with parchment paper beforehand.
  6. Now it’s time for the second egg. Whip this up in the small bowl and whisk it with a fork. Using a kitchen brush, you can now brush the bread with the egg. Alternatively, you can sprinkle raisins over the bread afterward.
  7. Bake the loaves in a preheated oven (200 degrees) for about 20 minutes.
