Baked cauliflower

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 small head of cauliflower
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 375 g minced meat
  • some salt and pepper
  • 30 g butter or margarine
  • 20 g flour
  • 250 ml milk
  • some nutmeg, freshly grated
  • 50 g cheese (Gouda), grated
  • ½ bunch parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Clean and wash the cauliflower, divide it into florets, and cook in plenty of salted water for about 15 minutes. Peel the onion and finely dice it. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onion and minced meat, seasoning with salt and pepper. Place the cauliflower and minced meat in a casserole dish. Heat the butter in a saucepan, add the flour, and sauté. Deglaze with milk and bring to a boil. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir some of the cheese into the sauce. Pour the sauce over the minced meat and cauliflower and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve.
