Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 2 cups of cream
  • 2 packs of Camembert(s)
  • 1 shallot(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • chives
  • butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Divide the cauliflower into small florets and cook them in salted water for 5-10 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit). Dice the shallot and fry in a little butter. Add the cream. Slice the Camembert and add it to the cream mixture. Stir continuously over medium heat until the cheese has melted. If you don’t like chunks in the sauce, you can peel the cheese or puree the sauce before use. Season the cheese sauce with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Place the cauliflower in a baking dish. Pour the cheese sauce over it and bake for about 10 minutes, until a golden brown crust has formed. Garnish with chives before serving.
