Baked Malva Pudding

The perfect baked malva pudding recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Dough:

  • 400 g Sugar fine
  • 4 Pc. Eggs
  • 30 g Apricot jam
  • 300 g Flour
  • 3 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 Pr Salt
  • 30 g Butter
  • 200 ml Milk

Caramel sauce:

  • 400 ml Cream
  • 200 g Butter
  • 300 g Brown sugar
  • 200 ml Water
  • 20 ml Vanilla

Dough:

  1. Whisk eggs and sugar together in the food processor until thick and light. Then add the jam.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan and mix with the milk. Sift the flour, baking powder and the salt, then stir all the ingredients again in the food processor to form a batter.

Caramel sauce:

  1. Heat all ingredients in a small saucepan.
  2. Pour the batter into a baking dish, add half of the sauce and stir.
  3. Bake the malva pudding in a baking dish at 180 degrees for about 30-35 minutes on the middle rack. Spread the other half of the sauce over the hot pudding after baking. To do this, pierce the pudding with a spoon and let the sauce flow into it.
