A great side dish to fish, poultry or meat.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (180 degrees Celsius fan-assisted). Wash the pumpkin, halve it, remove the core, and cut the flesh into wedges. Wash and dry the orange, peel a thin layer of the zest, and squeeze out the juice. Place the pumpkin wedges on a deep baking sheet or in a gratin dish. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Drizzle with olive oil and orange juice. Rinse the chilies, peel the ginger, and slice it. Distribute the chilies, ginger, garlic cloves, cinnamon sticks, and orange peel over the pumpkin wedges. Cover the pumpkin wedges with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes. The pumpkin wedges make an excellent side dish or appetizer.
