Baking: Lemon Shade

The perfect baking: lemon shade recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Butter
  • 300 g Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon sugar
  • 250 g Quark
  • 5 piece Eggs
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 100 ml Lemon juice
  • 150 g Powdered sugar
  • Fat and crumbs for the mold
  1. Mix the soft butter with the quark, eggs, sugar and lemon sugar until frothy. Add flour, baking powder and salt and mix with enough lemon juice to create a smooth batter that easily falls off the spoon.
  2. Grease and crumble a bundt pan, preheat the pipe to 180 degrees circulating air.
  3. Pour the dough into the mold and bake at around 180 degrees for about three quarters of an hour (45 minutes). Chopstick sample.
  4. Approx. Mix 15 ml lemon juice with a little sugar and approx. 15 ml water. Soak the cake while it is still in the pan and let it cool down a little. I used a disposable syringe for this.
  5. For the icing, mix the powdered sugar with a little lemon juice and coat the slightly warm cake with it.
