  • 300 g turkey breast
  • 300 g spaetzle
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 bell peppers, red
  • olive oil
  • Balsamic vinegar, dark
  • 2 tbsp crème fraîche
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • a little vegetable broth, instant
  • Flour
  • 1 bell pepper(s), green
  • some water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

with spaetzle

Trim the meat and cut into thin strips. Dust with flour. Dice the onion. Deseed the two bell peppers and also cut into thin strips. Meanwhile, bring water to a boil and prepare the spaetzle. Brown the meat and onions in heated olive oil. After a few minutes, add the bell pepper strips and fry. Season with salt and pepper. Once everything is well seared, deglaze with a generous splash of balsamic vinegar. The meat can brown slightly. Top up everything with stock (a little water and a little vegetable stock) and, if desired, thicken the sauce with more flour. Mix well and season to taste with paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes and add 1-2 tablespoons of crème fraîche (alternatively: cream). Drain the cooked spaetzle and add them to the pan. Mix well and serve immediately.
