Wash the lemon in hot water, dry thoroughly with a paper towel. Grate the zest, and squeeze out the juice. Peel the banana, cut into 4 slices (about 1 cm thick), toss in the lemon juice, and set aside. Blend the remaining banana in a blender along with the lemon zest, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and the maple syrup until smooth. Then gradually pour the milk into the blender and whisk vigorously. Season the drink to taste. Choose two attractive drinking glasses. Pour the remaining lemon juice onto a small, shallow plate and dip the rims into the juice. Sprinkle the colored sugar onto a small, shallow plate and gently press the moistened rims into the sugar to create a sugar rim. Pour the milkshake into the glasses, taking care not to break the sugar rim. Coat the banana slices in cocoa powder, string two slices on skewers, and place them in the glasses. This makes a cocktail for the evening: Prepare the milkshake as described above, but at the end, stir in 4 to 6 tablespoons of banana or coconut liqueur, if desired. For decoration, skewer colorful fruits.
