Ingredients

  • 1 kg Floury potatoes
  • 25 dag Flour
  • 5 dag Semolina
  • 3 dag Butter
  • 1 Egg
  • Salt

Instructions

preparation

  • Wash, boil and peel the potatoes. Let cool down

preparation

  • Mash the potatoes and season with salt.
  • Mix with flour and work with the remaining ingredients to form a dough. Warning: potato dough becomes tough if it is processed too long.
  • Shape the dough into a roll, cut off small pieces and process them into dumplings, for example.

Serving suggestion

  • Solid as potato dumplings or potato noodles as a side dish, as hash dumplings as a main course or sweet as apricot dumplings or strawberry dumplings. Depending on the size, the dumplings need another 15-20 minutes (cooking time). You can find recipes for hearty and sweet dumplings in my cookbook.
