Beer ham – peppers – egg – pan

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 slice(s) sausage (beer ham), or hunting sausage, amount depends on the pan size
  • 3 bell peppers
  • 4 large eggs, for smaller ones you may need more
  • 200 g cheese (Emmentaler) or Gouda, grated
  • 4 slice(s) bread(s), dark
  • butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Fast and hearty

Preheat the oven to 175°C. Melt the butter in the pan, then place the beer ham slices next to each other, slightly overlapping, so that the bottom of the pan is covered. Cook lightly. Deseed and quarter the peppers, place them over the beer ham, and finally crack the eggs over them. Remove the pan from the heat and spread the cheese generously in the pan. Place the pan in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes, until the egg has set. Make sure the cheese doesn’t get too brown; cover if necessary. Remove the pan from the oven, divide the contents into 4 pieces, and place them on the bread.
