Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 eggs
- 250 g herb cream cheese
- 250 g low-fat curd cheese
- 100 g red bell pepper(s)
- 2 gherkins
- 2 carrots
- 4 slices of ham
- 1 bunch of chives
- 1 pinch(s) of sugar
- Salt
- lemon juice
- Cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp sour cream, if desired
- n. B. olives for garnishing
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Hard-boil the eggs and let them cool in cold water. Mix the quark with the herb cream cheese, salt, pepper, a pinch of sugar, and the finely chopped chives. Finely dice the hard-boiled eggs, bell pepper, cucumber, and ham and add to the mixture. Grate the carrots and fold in. Season with salt, cayenne pepper, and lemon juice. Pour the spread into a bowl and garnish with pieces of bell pepper and olives. Serve with: Bird of Paradise bread (in my recipes). This spread goes well with roasted and grilled meat; it’s a hit at any party. Vegetarians can omit the ham.
