7 Foods That Quickly Relieve Heartburn: a Lifesaver for the Esophagus

A burning sensation in the throat and esophagus is called heartburn. It is caused by hydrochloric acid entering the esophagus. If you often have heartburn, you should see a gastroenterologist. You can alleviate heartburn on your own by eating certain foods.

Porridge with water

A liquid porridge with water envelops the mucous membranes and soothes them, eliminating heartburn. Oatmeal or pearl porridge is usually cooked for heartburn. No spices or dairy products can be added to the dish.

Bananas

If heartburn is not caused by a chronic disease and occurs infrequently, a banana will make you feel better. Antacids and starch in the composition of bananas neutralize the effect of acid, in addition, these fruits are not acidic.

Vegetable soup

When heartburn is not recommended to eat raw vegetables, but it is acceptable to eat a light vegetable soup. It is advisable not to add sour vegetables such as tomatoes and onions to the soup, but you can make a soup of potatoes, carrots, peas, green beans, and zucchini.

Rosehips

Rosehip tea is excellent for fighting heartburn and reducing the acidity of the environment in the esophagus. The tea should not be very strong and you should not add sugar to the drink.

Lean Meat

If you want something meat with heartburn, you can eat some boiled chicken fillet without fat. On the side dish, you can serve porridge with water or boiled potatoes.

Lean fish

Lean varieties of fish are allowed for heartburn. Fish should not be fried, but can be steamed or baked. Lean fish include pike, perch, pike, mullet, pollock, roach, hake, and bream.

Non-fat dairy products

If you really want dairy products, it is acceptable to eat a little fat-free cottage cheese with heartburn or drink a glass of nonfat kefir. Dairy products with heartburn should not be eaten on an empty stomach and before going to bed.
