Bread wreath with Parma ham, cheese and egg

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • ½ kg flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1 ½ bags of yeast
  • ¼ liter of lukewarm water
  • 8 slices of ham or bacon
  • 6 eggs, hard-boiled
  • 1 mozzarella
  • 100 g Parmesan
  • basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Knead together the flour, sugar, salt, yeast, and water and roll out to a relatively large size (about 60x30cm). Spread the ham along one side, place the eggs in a row on top of the ham. Cut the mozzarella into 6-7 slices and arrange them on top, then generously sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Tear fresh basil and spread it over the top. Now fold the dough over to form a large “sausage,” tuck the ends together, and the wreath is ready. Brush with olive oil or milk before baking, then bake at 200°C for 35-40 minutes. A quick tip: Add cherry tomatoes to the filling for a fresher texture.
