Broccoli and cheese bites

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 350 g broccoli
  • 25 g spring onions
  • 2 large garlic cloves, finely diced
  • 70 g Cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg(s), beaten
  • 60 g breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp chili sauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Fill a medium saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Season with salt. Blanch the broccoli in the boiling water for about two minutes, then drain and shred. Place the broccoli, spring onions, garlic, Cheddar cheese, egg, and breadcrumbs in a mixing bowl. Add chili sauce or another hot sauce of your choice. Mix well and refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Shape the mixture into small bites and place evenly on parchment paper. Bake for 8 to 9 minutes. Turn over and bake for another 8 to 9 minutes on the other side, until golden brown.
