Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1,000 g Brussels sprouts
- 1 tbsp butter
- 100 g ham, diced
- 75 g walnuts
- ½ lemon(s), juice
- 300 ml vegetable broth or meat broth
- 200 ml cream
- e.g. salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Clean the Brussels sprouts and slice them. Four slices per floret are ideal. Cut from top to bottom so the stem holds the leaves together. Squeeze the lemon and chop the walnuts. Sauté the Brussels sprouts in melted butter. Add the chopped walnuts and diced ham. Season to taste with lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Pour in the broth and simmer for about 5 minutes. Finish with cream. Serve with mashed potatoes, fried potatoes, or boiled potatoes.
