Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 100 g buckwheat
- 50 g lentils, red
- 50 g lentils, brown
- 1 bell pepper(s)
- ¼ onion(s)
- 1 tbsp vegetable broth, instant
- 1 egg(s)
- 25 g oat flakes
- 600 ml water, hot
- pepper
- chili powder
- possibly cheese, grated
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
Coarsely grind the buckwheat and the red and brown lentils. Mix the ground flour with the instant broth and pour over 600 ml of hot water. Let it swell for about half an hour. Then mix in the chopped bell pepper and onion with the egg and oat flakes, and season with pepper and chili. Let it simmer for about 30 minutes. Heat a pan with oil, scoop out a tablespoon of the mixture, add it to the pan, and flatten. Fry on both sides for about 5 to 10 minutes until browned. The patties are edible hot or cold anytime and can be combined with other vegetables. Grated cheese can also be tossed in. Serve with herb curd and salad for a refreshing accompaniment.
