In Burgundy, France, the beans are prepared with carrots. It’s an interesting combination with red wine.

Clean, wash, and break the beans. Boil them in salted water for about 20 minutes. Dice the bacon. Fry them in a pan until translucent. Peel and dice the onions, and fry them in the bacon until golden brown. Add the half-cooked beans. Add the red wine and meat broth. Cook for about 15 minutes. Add the carrots. Knead the butter with the flour. Add to the vegetables, mix, and cook for about 7 minutes. Chop the herbs and sprinkle over the top. Approx. 463 kcal per serving. Menu suggestion: Start with chicken broth, serve roast beef, Burgundy-style beans, and boiled potatoes as the main course, and Chantilly pears for dessert. Tip: If it’s not the season for fresh green beans, you can use frozen or canned beans instead. You can choose between princess, snap, and runner beans.
