Ingredients
- 200 g Nuts (skin-on almonds, hazelnuts or walnuts)
- 200 g Sugar
- 125 ml Water
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
Instructions
- Put the water, sugar and vanilla sugar in a pan and bring to the boil. Then add the nuts and cook until the mixture has caramelized and the nuts start to shine. It is important to be patient and to stir constantly. When the water has evaporated, the nuts will initially "crumbly", but then keep stirring until they shine again. Let cool on a greased tray or on baking paper. Also delicious with a little cinnamon. Tastes as delicious as at the Christmas market, only much fresher & still warm!
