Casserole: Fish Italian Way
The perfect casserole: fish italian way recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Cod fillet
- 2 piece Diced onions
- 2 piece Garlic cloves chopped
- 2 piece Red pepper
- 500 g Tomatoes
- 150 g Mushrooms brown
- 150 g Freshly grated Parmesan
- Margarine for the baking dish
- 4 tbsp Olive oil
- White wine dry
- 1 piece Organic lemon
- 6 leaves Chopped basil
- 1 tsp Dried oregano
- 1 tbsp Chopped parsley
- Salt and pepper
- First, I checked the fish fillet again for bones and actually found 4 pieces. They have to be removed, of course. Then wash the fish under running water and pat dry.
- Squeeze the lemon and pour it over the fish. Salt the fish and let it rest for about 10 minutes.
- Grease a flat casserole dish with the margarine and place the fish in it.
- Now preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
- In the meantime, wash the peppers and tomatoes. Cut the tomatoes into pieces, core the peppers, remove the white skins and cut into strips.
- Clean the mushrooms, cut in half and cut into strips.
- Peel and dice the onions and garlic.
- Heat the oil in a sufficiently large pan and first steam the onions in it until translucent. Then add the peppers as well as the tomatoes. Now season with salt and pepper and simmer for a good 2 minutes.
- Pour in the wine (depending on your taste) and add the diced garlic. This is followed by the basil, oregano and mushrooms.
- When everything is well steamed, this mixture is poured over the cod fillet, distributed well and placed in the tube for about 25 minutes. Then the freshly grated cheese is sprinkled over it and again in the tube until the cheese is nicely browned Has.
- When the casserole is on the plates, sprinkle with parsley.
- It goes well with a fresh baguette, rice or just potato for the potato lover. Of course, fish has to swim. So, depending on your taste, a nice cool Riesling or simply a cool blond. In the sense: Bon appetit!
