Chard pan with smoked tofu

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • some cooking oil
  • 600 g chard
  • 360 g smoked tofu
  • 1 chili pepper(s)
  • 20 g ginger, grated
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 200 ml water
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 100 ml cream substitute, vegan
  • Salt
  • Sichuan pepper
  • e.g. date syrup

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Pick the greens off the chard and set aside. Dice the chard stems and tofu. Finely chop the chili. Heat a pan or wok with oil. Add the chard stems, tofu, chili, and ginger and fry for about 5 minutes. Deglaze the pan with the soy sauce and let it absorb. Then add the water, chard leaves, and tahini and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Stir in the vegan cream and season to taste with salt, Sichuan pepper, and date syrup. Serve with potatoes or rice.
