Filled rolls, delicious hot or cold. Makes 10 rolls.

Mix flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and water into a dough and let it rest until it has risen. Then divide the dough into 10 equal pieces. Shape the dough pieces into long sticks and flatten them. Cut the cheese into 10 sticks. Then halve the cooked ham and spread each piece with the herb butter. Roll each cheese stick into half a slice of ham and place it on the piece of dough. Fold the ends of the dough over the filling, then seal the sides and roll them back into sticks. Place all the sticks on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Cut each stick diagonally three times. Distribute the grated cheese among the sticks and bake at 180–200°C for about 20–25 minutes. If you like, you can also mix sun-dried tomatoes or other ingredients into the dough; the filling is also limitless. These filled rolls taste best warm, but they are also delicious cold and are a hit everywhere.
