Cheesecake with Cherries and Bananas

The perfect cheesecake with cherries and bananas recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • For the dough:
  • 125 g Cold butter
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 250 g Flour
  • 0,5 packet Baking powder
  • For the filling:
  • 750 g Quark 40%
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 packet Vanilla pudding
  • 1 Glass Sour cherries 350 g drained
  • For covering:
  • 2 Bananas
  • 1 packet Cake glaze clear
  1. Pour the cherries into a colander and drain well.
  2. Mix the flour with the baking powder in a mixing bowl using butter, flour, egg, sugar and a pinch of salt to make a kneading dough. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap in foil and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  3. Mix the quark with the egg in a bowl. Add the sugar and vanilla pudding and stir in. Add the drained cherries to the mixture and fold in. Put the dough in the prepared springform pan, roll it out on the base and pull up an approx. 4 cm high edge. Put the quark mixture on the dough and smooth it out.
  4. Place the cake in the oven preheated to 180 degrees (convection) and bake for about 60 minutes. After the baking time, take it out of the oven, let it cool down for 30 minutes, remove the edge of the springform pan and let it cool down. Peel and slice the bananas. Spread the banana slices on the cake. Make the icing according to the instructions, spread it over the banana slices and let it set.
