Cherry cake with chocolate

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 175 g margarine or butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 50 ml milk
  • ½ bottle of butter-vanilla flavoring
  • 80 g chocolate flakes
  • 1 jar cherry(s)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Beat the margarine or butter until fluffy, then gradually add the sugar and vanilla sugar, stirring continuously. Gradually beat in each egg, along with the butter and vanilla essence. Sift the flour and baking powder together, then stir in alternately with the milk. Finally, fold in the chocolate flakes. Spread the batter into a greased 26cm springform pan and scatter the drained cherries over the batter. Bake at 160°C (top/bottom heat) for approximately 50-60 minutes, depending on the oven. Do the toothpick test. Once the cake has cooled, dust it with powdered sugar.
