Chicken breast in herb sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g chicken breasts
  • 3 tbsp margarine
  • Salt
  • Pepper, white
  • ½ liter sweet cream
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 point herbs (8-herb mixture)

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Season the chicken breasts and sear them on both sides in melted margarine. Remove from the pan and keep warm. Pour the whipped cream and milk mixture into the pan, add the herbs, and bring to a boil. Return the chicken breasts to the pan and let stand for 10 minutes. Remove from the pan and serve with the sauce. Pilaf rice makes a good accompaniment. Wine suggestion: Riesling Kabinett from the Krems, Kamp, or Traisen Valleys (Lower Austria) or Weißburgunder from Vienna.
