Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 gr. can/n chickpeas
- 1 lemon(s)
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp pine nuts
- 2 cloves garlic
- salt and pepper

Open the can of chickpeas, discard the liquid, and drain the peas with hot water. Place them in a bowl with peeled garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, half a teaspoon of salt, and a pinch of pepper. Puree using either an immersion blender or a food processor. The result should be a smooth, sandy-colored mixture with a tangy, slightly nutty flavor. Toast the pine nuts in a pan without oil over low heat until golden brown. Sprinkle the toasted pine nuts over the puree, drizzle with a few drops of olive oil, and serve—best served with Turkish flatbread. Tip: To enhance the flavor, stir in 3 tablespoons of tahini (sesame paste). Available in Turkish shops.
