simple basic recipe with many variations
First, put the rice on the heat. Then, brown the meat in a large pan over high heat. Pour on the sauce made from vinegar, sugar, and ketchup. Finally, add the vegetables to the pan. I like to use half a duck with bamboo shoots. Chicken breast with pineapple or beef with peas are also popular. I’ve also made lamb with beans and turkey with apricots. For duck, I use balsamic vinegar and just 2 tablespoons of sugar, reduce the sauce more, and season with a dash of Worcestershire sauce. For chicken, I prefer white wine vinegar and add curry.
