Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours
for a loaf pan of 30 x 11 cm
Roughly chop the marzipan chocolate and 50g of mocha chocolate. Peel and roughly mash the bananas. Using a hand mixer, cream together the margarine, vanilla sugar, and sugar until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time and mix in. Mix the flour and baking powder and stir into the batter alternately with the milk. Finally, fold in the chopped chocolate and bananas. Line the tin with baking paper if desired. Fill the batter slightly over halfway into the loaf tin and bake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 175°C, fan oven: 150°C, gas mark 2) for 60-75 minutes. Do a skewer test. Remove the cake from the oven, let it cool for 15 minutes, and then remove from the tin. To decorate, chop the remaining 50g of mocha chocolate and melt it with the oil over a pan of simmering water. Drizzle the mixture in lines over the cake and decorate with banana chips.
