Christmas: Simple Butter Cookies
The perfect christmas: simple butter cookies recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 300 g Flour
- 200 g Butter
- 100 g Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 Msp Baking powder
- 1 Lemon untreated
- I wanted to bake cookies with my grandchildren and I chose a simple shortcrust pastry recipe. These cookies are usually lovingly decorated with icing and sprinkles, pearls, etc., but since my granddaughter doesn’t like icing, we didn’t.
- Mix the flour, baking powder and sugar and pour into a pile on baking paper (or a baking board) and form a hollow in the middle. Cut the butter into pieces and place on the edge of the pastry. Wash the lemon with hot water and rub the peel over the flour mixture. Place the egg in the middle and then chop the dough through with a knife and then quickly knead into a smooth dough.
- Wrap the dough in foil and refrigerate for at least half an hour. Then knead in small portions and roll out on a little flour and cut out shapes. Place on baking paper and bake in the oven at 180 ° C (fan oven) or 200 ° C (O + U) for about 10 minutes. Decorate the cookies and then let them dry
- Store in airtight cans.
