Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g rice, cooked
  • 200 ml broth (dashi)
  • 200 g meat (chicken), cooked
  • 4 oyster mushrooms
  • 1 carrot(s), cooked
  • 200 g peas, cooked
  • 3 tbsp sake
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce, Japanese

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Heat the dashi and rice together. Cut the chicken, mushrooms, and carrot into thin strips and add to the rice. Then add the sake and peas and season with soy sauce. Tip: Dashi: the basic broth (soup base) in Japanese cuisine; it is made from seaweed (konbu) and dried bonito (a type of tuna). Available in Asian markets in packaged form—ground, granulated, or flakes. Simply pour over hot water.
