"Costs almost nothing" pasta dish

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta of your choice, e.g., Gemelli
  • 200 g cooked ham, bacon or sausage leftovers
  • 300 g peas, frozen or canned
  • 1 large bell pepper(s)
  • 1 cup of crème légère with herbs or crème fraîche
  • 300 ml vegetable stock
  • n. B. Salt
  • n. B. Pfeffer
  • n. B. herbs, frozen or fresh, e.g. chives and parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cook the pasta in salted water as usual. Dice the ham and bell peppers and sauté. Cook the peas in a little broth. Add the pasta and peas to the ham and bell peppers and mix everything with the light cream, the remaining broth, spices, and herbs, and heat through again. This dish is very versatile. So far, we’ve tested the following: adding corn, diced carrots, instead of or in addition to the bell peppers, bacon or raw ham instead of cooked ham, a little cheese, a little garlic… The proportions of the ingredients are, of course, a matter of taste.
