Doctor Explains Why You Shouldn’t Drink Milk in the Morning

Why you shouldn’t drink milk and other drinks on an empty stomach in the morning. Mikhail Ginzburg, a nutritionist, and doctor of medical sciences told us which drinks are dangerous to drink on an empty stomach.

According to him, you can drink water in the morning, but all other drinks should not be consumed on an empty stomach. Ginzburg notes that some drinks can irritate the stomach or contribute to a sharp rise in blood sugar.

For example, milk and fermented dairy drinks can cause pain when they come into contact with inflamed gastric mucosa.

The expert noted that this organ is better protected after eating. “Provided that the stomach is healthy, you can drink green tea with milk, sometimes coffee with milk is allowed,” the doctor added.
