Doctors Have Found a New Benefit of Eating Chocolate

According to doctors, first of all, chocolate and chocolate products contain hormones responsible for mood – serotonin, endorphin, and dopamine.

Eating chocolate can bring certain benefits to the body. This is evidenced by a study published on the official website of the US National Center for Biotechnology Information.

According to experts, chocolate contains a huge amount of substances that have a beneficial effect on health. First of all, it contains hormones responsible for mood – serotonin, endorphin, and dopamine, which are called “the hormone of happiness”.

“Chocolate can interact with some neurotransmitter systems, such as dopamine, serotonin, and endorphin (found in cocoa and chocolate), which help regulate appetite and improve mood,” the scientists say.

In addition, researchers say, raw cocoa is good for the heart. It contains flavanols, plant compounds that are believed to improve blood circulation in the heart, lower blood pressure, and, in some cases, lower cholesterol levels.

Eating chocolate also reduces the risk of Alzheimer’s disease or Parkinson’s disease. All flavanols can easily protect against oxidative stress and other cellular damage, preserving absolutely all cognitive abilities of a person with age.
