Doctors Have Named the Most Dangerous Honey for the Body

The doctor explained why May honey is dangerous. Honey is an integral part of the diet of those who care about their health. However, it can be dangerous for our bodies.

According to general practitioner Valentyna Kasyanenko, in May, bees can produce a potentially dangerous product because it may contain traces of chemicals used to treat sick insects.

According to the doctor, bees get sick in winter, and in spring they are treated with various chemicals that “clog” the insects’ salivary glands. Bees are able to collect nectar and process it into honey, but harmful substances penetrate it along with saliva. That is why the expert does not recommend buying May honey if you are not 100% sure of its high quality.

“Also, in early spring, bees are not as energetic as in summer because they wake up from hibernation. When collecting pollen, they do not filter it as thoroughly from pollen grains, which are 10 times more in May honey than in any other. These particles affect the rapid crystallization and sugar structure of honey,” experts say.

According to endocrinologists and Ph.D. Zuhra Pavlova, consuming large amounts of honey can lead to serious health problems.

“First, honey is a very high-calorie product. Secondly, an excess of fructose (honey consists mainly of it) leads to fatty degeneration of the liver. It also provokes a constant appetite, as it blocks receptors for the hormone leptin, which is responsible for satiety,” the expert wrote on her Instagram.

According to her, it is very difficult to find “honestly produced honey with magical properties” today. The main problem is pesticides, which kill bees due to uncontrolled use.

The expert warned that even a perfectly healthy person should not consume honey in “industrial quantities” every day, especially diabetics.

“For some reason, people think they can have honey. Moreover, in their opinion, honey can make them feel better. This is a very dangerous mistake that can lead to coma,” the endocrinologist said.

According to the doctor, when you have a sore throat, you can gargle and swallow a small spoonful of honey in your mouth, and then you will benefit from honey.
