Eggnog Cake with Apples

The perfect eggnog cake with apples recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 400 g Tart apples
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 250 g Soft butter
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 5 Free range eggs
  • 200 Milliliters Advocaat
  • 425 g Flour
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • Powdered sugar
  1. Peel the apples, remove the core and cut into cubes. Sprinkle the apple cubes with a tablespoon of lemon so that they do not turn brown.
  2. In a bowl, whip soft butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt until creamy. Gradually stir in the eggs. Add the egg liqueur and stir in, mix the flour with the baking powder and stir in two portions. Add the apple cubes and fold in.
  3. Pour the cake batter into the prepared springform pan and smooth it out. Now place the cake in the (convection) oven preheated to 150 degrees and bake for approx. 65 – 70 minutes. (Stick sample) After the baking time, take it out of the oven, let it cool down for 20 minutes, remove the edge of the springform pan and let it cool down.
  4. Place the cooled cake on a cake plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
