Figs – Gratin

The perfect figs – gratin recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 20 g Butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 100 g Quark
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Custard powder
  • 0,5 teaspoon Orange peel aroma
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 Figs fresh
  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan and let it cool down a little. Separate egg. Mix the egg yolks with the butter, quark and vanilla sugar until creamy. Stir in the custard powder and flavor.
  2. Beat egg whites with salt until stiff. Sprinkle in the sugar. Fold in the egg whites. Wash and dry the figs, cut off the stem and cut into eighths.
  3. Grease a small ovenproof dish. Spread the figs on the ground. Put the quark mixture on top and smooth it out.
  4. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes. Take out of the oven, let cool down a bit … and enjoy 😉
