Figs with cream cheese

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 12 figs, fresh
  • 12 slices of Parma ham or Serrano ham
  • 150 g cream cheese, with herbs or natural
  • olive oil
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Make a deep cross-shaped incision in the figs at the base of the stems. Then gently press them apart. Fill the center of each fig with cream cheese using a small spoon. Wrap each fig with a slice of ham. Place the figs side by side in an ovenproof dish. Mix a little oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, and spices to make a dressing and drizzle over the figs. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 10 minutes. Serve warm!
